ROOMS: SCOTCH TAPE

SPEC CAMPAIGN:  My bedroom growing up was vital to my creative development. I’d spend hours making mood boards across all my walls. Years down the line, I realized that creating mood boards is an essential skill of being a director. I recognize how much I’ve benefited from having a space that reflects my inner ideas, so this project was my attempt to explore and share why having a personalized creative space as a young person is so important.

Scotch Tape is an essential tool for collaging and customizing a space in a non-permanent, affordable way, and so it felt like a natural product to create a spec campaign for. This idea was delightfully reinforced by each of the students I interviewed, who professed to already using Scotch Tape in their rooms, and how it helps them create spaces that feel like themselves.
